SEND Information
At Barwell C E Academy, we are committed to equal opportunities for all of our pupils. We strive to remove barriers to learning to ensure that all children can reach their full potential, whatever their special educational need (SEN) or disability. The majority of pupils with SEND in our school are provided for within the class by slight adjustments to work, resources or teaching methods. Whilst we strive to be as inclusive as possible, we recognise that sometimes, to achieve their potential, children need very different strategies, teaching styles or learning provision. The Headteacher, sendco, teachers and support staff work with parents and outside agencies to ensure the best approaches possible are used in order to support children with SEND.
To find out more in detail about how we support pupils at Barwell C E Academy, please read the school SEND information report and SEND policy below.

Who is who?
We have an Inclusion Matters Team! Here is who is who and what they are responsible for:
Miss Victoria Newman:
Miss Newman is our Strategic SEND Lead for our school. She ensures that we are continually looking for ways to keep improving our practice so that children get the best. She is also the Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENDCo).
Mrs Jodie Robinson:
Jodie is our Family Link Worker. Her job is to work with families to ensure that our provision supports the needs of the whole child.
Miss Rachael Peace:
Miss Peace is our paperwork queen! She organises our meetings and manages the paperwork.
If you would like to contact anyone in the Inclusion Matters team, please contact school by phone on 01455 842047, by email at [email protected] or see us on the Front Yard where at least one of the Inclusion Team is on duty in the morning and after school. We are here to help.
