Coronavirus and the Wider Opening of School

Following the Government guidance regarding Coronavirus is essential for all schools in England. As always, the safety and well-being of pupils, staff and their families will continue to be a priority as we look forward to the wider opening of the school. Plans to manage and support that safe return, in line with the government guidance, are in place and you can see these in our risk assessment:

NHS Test and Trace

Please see government advice below:

The development of the NHS ‘Test and Trace’ scheme is a key part of the government plan to manage the spread of the virus.

As such, it may be necessary for us, as part of our statutory duty, to share data we have with NHS Test & Trace workers-on request by Public Health – so that we can help play our part in reducing an outbreak and keeping our Barwell family as safe as possible.

As a school, we may be asked to provide contact details if a case of Coronavirus or a suspected case arises in our school. Our first step would be to try and contact you ourselves to reduce that information sharing. However, with an obligation to support the Government initiative, we will provide details if we are requested to do so. We will share data only on the basis that this is a Public Duty and that, in the case of any health data, it is necessary and in the public interest. As always, we will record any information that is shared.

If you have any questions regarding this, please contact school directly on 01455 842047.
