From time to time jobs become available in school. This may be due staff reaching retirement age or choosing to take a break, Staff sometimes move on to other posts to gain wider experience or to accept promotion.
Occasionally new posts are created in school due to changing circumstances.
YEAR 3 CLASS TEACHER
Full time, temporary contract, available from November 2014 – July 2015 to cover a period of maternity leave.
We require a motivated and skilled teacher with experience of teaching children in Key Stage 2 and/or upper Key Stage 1 to to cover this temporary vacancy which has arisen due to maternity needs.
The post is available within Year 3, which is split into three small classes, of 25 or under. Teachers receive their non-contact ‘PPA’ time together to enable them to plan and prepare as a team.
The post is suitable for an NQT or a teacher with additional experience. NQTs will be supported by training and the usual non-contact time arrangements to complete this section of their training successfully.
There is no expectation that the successful candidates will undertake any additional duties, e.g. subject leadership. However, teachers with experience, and particularly those on the Upper Pay Spine will be expected to share their talents, skills and experience for the benefit of others.
The successful candidate will be expected to share in the wider life of the school through their contribution to parent evenings, curriculum events and other occasional school activities.
